Department Head – Internal Audit

Robert Walters Middle East is currently working with a leading government entity. They are seeking to hire Department Head – Internal Audit to join their team. This role is based in Riyadh, KSA.

Job Description:

• Oversee the audit process from planning to execution and reporting, ensuring that audits are conducted in accordance with auditing standards and regulatory requirements
• Develop and implement audit plans based on risk assessments and ensure that audits are performed efficiently
• Manage and supervise audit staff; providing guidance, support, and feedback to ensure that audits are completed in a timely manner
• Conduct risk assessments to identify potential areas of concern and determine the scope and nature of the audit
• Review financial reports to ensure that they are accurate and in compliance with applicable regulations
• Provide recommendations to management on how to improve internal controls and processes to reduce risk
• Stay up-to-date on changes in auditing standards and regulations to ensure that audits are conducted in accordance with current requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar
• Professional qualification is preferred (CIA, CPA)
• Big 4 experience is advantageous
• Minimum 10 years of experience within the audit function
• This position is only open to candidates based in Saudi Arabia
• Strong knowledge of generally accepted auditing standards and regulatory requirements
• Excellent analytical skills
• Strong leadership skills and ability to manage a team
