Head of Internal Audit

One of the largest listed government companies in Saudi Arabia is collaborating with Robert Walters to onboard a Head of Internal Audit. You will be responsible for developing and implementing the yearly audit plan, leading a team of auditors to assess the effectiveness of the company's internal controls and provide recommendations. Due to Saudization, the role is only open to Saudi Nationals only.

Job Description:

• Understand the business goals of the department and develop strategies to achieve these goals.
• Develop and implement yearly audit plan for the department.
• Ensure that the team is organizing and managing internal audits according to audit plans.
• Assess the adequacy and effectiveness of the company's internal controls.
• Hire, train, and supervise department staff, and provide guidance and development opportunities.
• Liaise departmental activities with other departments to ensure smooth operation of the company.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
• 10+ years of experience overall with at least 4-5 years of internal audit experience at a senior level (senior manager, department head, director).
• Must be working with a large-sized company with 1000+ employees.
• Must have leadership experience managing team of 5-7 people at least.
