An excellent opportunity is available with a brokerage firm based in Abu Dhabi who require a Head of Compliance to provide all required operational, regulatory and compliance related support to the businesses.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensuring the business complies with all applicable laws and regulations and that the policies, procedures and compliance monitoring frameworks meet both local and international best practice;
• Managing and supporting the various compliance officers/professionals in the region;
• Lead relationships with the regulator including coordinating and overseeing written submissions, preparing for and managing regulatory exams/reviews and advising and updating senior management on the same;
• Liaising with local regulatory authorities in the region in relation to compliance and other legal matters as they relate to the Group;
• Advising on regulatory related matters/considerations affecting the businesses in the Gulf and advising senior management and/or Board committees (from time to time) on the implications for the Group’s business of developments arising from current and/or proposed new regulation;
• Coordinating responses to certain AML/KYC due diligence requests;
• overseeing and ensuring that the AML/KYC/ABC/Sanctions/Cyber/Data Privacy and other relevant policies, procedures and practices meet local and best international regulatory requirements;

The Head of Compliance will hold experience of operating in a similar role within a financial services business regulated by ADGM (Abu Dhabi Global Market) or DFSA (Dubai Financial Services Authority).
