Financial Regulation Associate (Mid-Level)

An international law firm is looking to hire a mid-level Financial Regulation Associate to join its well-established and growing team.

The Role
You will advise a broad range of financial institutions, including banks, asset managers, and fintech companies, on complex regulatory matters across multiple jurisdictions. The work will be varied and may include advisory on financial services regulation, regulatory change projects, compliance frameworks, and interactions with regulators.

This is a strong opportunity to work closely with senior lawyers on high-profile, cross-border matters while developing your own client relationships and taking on increasing responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

• Advising clients on financial services regulation and ongoing compliance requirements
• Supporting on regulatory change and implementation projects
• Assisting with licensing, structuring, and market entry queries
• Engaging with regional and international regulatory frameworks
• Drafting and reviewing legal documentation and client advice
• Liaising directly with clients and regulators where required

Candidate Requirements

• 3–6 years’ PQE (guideline only) with a recognised law firm or in-house team
• Strong experience in financial services regulation
• Exposure to international or cross-border work is highly desirable
• Excellent drafting, analytical, and communication skills
• Commercially minded with a pragmatic approach
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
