A rarely available temporary opportunity has arisen within the financial services industry. Our client is looking for a high caliber Events and Marketing Manager responsible for the execution of strategic marketing plans on a global/regional basis.
Provides specialized expertise on a functional, product, segment or geographic basis to assist with the impact and efficiency of the company's marketing plans in order to meet business and/or channel needs, drive business results and build brand equity.
This role is accountable to various marketing management roles and key responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: successful planning, execution of corporate events, coordination of Marketing campaigns and activities as defined by the strategic marketing plan.
Tactics may include direct marketing, eMarketing, Advertising and sales support.
Demonstrates marketing expertise to provide marketing guidance on business decisions.
Manage relationships with all internal and external stakeholders, suppliers and third parties and demonstrates value and a return on investment in all marketing activities.
Ensures fast, clear communication of all relevant Marketing activities and tools to relevant stakeholders, and collects regular feedback.
Measure and report against key criteria as agreed. Assist in the creation of new ideas/approaches to effectively enhance the communication of key messages.
Has the ability to effectively lead and manage people.
Effectively mentors and coaches team members on marketing initiatives.
Articulate status, direction and conclusions to team and management.
Scope and Impact
Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Interacts with senior internal and external personnel.
Expected to involve direct management of day-to-day activities with the support of some internal and external resources.
Supports efforts to build the reputation of the Marketing capability as a source of specialist expertise and insight in terms of marketing disciplines, product knowledge, customer knowledge and/or geography.
Accountable for the effectiveness of budget spend per activity, and an understanding of the financial impact of all campaign activity.
May lead a small group on implementing projects with manageable risks and resources requirements.
Gives advice to middle management on functional matters, or on the interpretation of policies and practices.
Monitors costs of work and may manage budgets for small projects or programs.
Knowledge & Skill
Must possess excellent marketing communication skills and have a high degree of customer orientation.
Ability to bring innovation and freshness to our marketing execution.
Highly collaborative individual with proven ability to work well in a matrix organization and effectively manage across boundaries.
Strong internal and external communicator with the ability to interact with managers and colleagues at all levels.
Significant Marketing domain knowledge with a good understanding of the banking, financial products and wealth management segments.
- +5 years experience in a B2B Marketing organization in the Middle East.
- Degree or MBA in Economics is a plus.
- Knowledge of banking, asset management, financial services and products is desired.
- Ability to bring innovation and freshness to the marketing team.
