Robert Walters are exclusively partnering with a global Telecommunication organisation to look for highly motivated, energetic and positive individuals with global sourcing and technical knowledge of the Network Category. The company is an Global Telecommunication organisation providing voice, data, fintech, digital, enterprise, wholesale and API services to more than 285 million customers in 20+ markets.

About the Role:

• The Principal will engage in negotiations with the non-strategic suppliers who have been shortlisted, assess the RFx submissions, and aid in formulating recommendations for awarding the contract to the selected vendors.
• the principal will be responsible for scheduling periodic sessions with the category sourcing team across PODs and identify best practices, synergies, share expertise & deep knowledge with other chapter members with the aim to upskill and cross the chapter members.
• Oversee the identification of relevant steps to be taken for RFx preparation and release as part of sprint planning, and break them down into outcomes to be reached.

Role Requirements:

• 11-15 years relevant working experience. 7-11 years’ experience in either as a purchasing officer/
• purchasing agent/category buyer and/or similar procurement-related role.
• Experience in building sourcing calendars and vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating and liaising with vendors).
• Proper understanding of the network vendors and pricing strategies prevalent in the market.
• Understanding of emerging telecom/ supply chain practices and trends.
• Experience working in a medium to large organization, managing category sourcing.
• Experience in SAP, ARIBA, or a major ERP System(s) (Preferably Oracle).
