Manager- Treasury (UAEN)

A leading organisation in Dubai is seeking a Treasury Manager to independently oversee its treasury function, providing comprehensive leadership across cash management, debt management, and investment activities. This role offers the opportunity to play a pivotal part in raising capital, executing deals with financial institutions, and advising on insurance matters.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with banks and financial institutions, acting as an expert advisor on all banking-related issues to support business objectives.
• Conduct borrowing and investment activities while managing working capital, cash flow functions, and liquidity to ensure optimal financial performance.
• Oversee performance bonds and guarantees, manage issuance of letters of credit, resolve foreign exchange currency issues by mitigating capital market risks and interest exposures.
• Assist Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) teams by providing key inputs into balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements for annual planning purposes.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, anti-money laundering rules, and other requirements governing cash transactions and banking operations.
• Work closely with legal teams to review insurance clauses in supplier contracts, develop standard insurance requirements for rental agreements, liaise with brokers for competitive rates, and maintain records of renewals.
• Develop treasury policies and strategies in partnership with company leaders; prepare annual treasury budgets by delivering insightful financial analysis for decision-making.
• Provide support on mergers & acquisitions (M&A), maintain collection schedules, monitor bank account ledger interfaces, troubleshoot variances through detailed research and explanation.
• Organise and supervise the work of assigned team members to ensure efficient operations aligned with procedures; deliver constructive feedback and on-the-job training to foster their development.
• Monitor financial performance against budgets for designated areas of activity; promptly report variances to management while ensuring adherence to approved guidelines.

Candidate Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business management is required; an MBA or advanced degree in business or finance is essential for this position.
• CPA / CTP / CII qualifications are preferred as they demonstrate advanced knowledge in treasury management practices.
• 10 to 15 years of relevant work experience in treasury roles is necessary; proven track record managing FX risk, insurance matters, banking relations, cash flow optimisation is highly desirable.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are vital for interacting comfortably with executive-level management across departments.
• Strategic planning abilities combined with proficiency in financial modelling enable you to deliver quantitative analysis that supports business decisions.
• Strong interpersonal skills allow you to collaborate effectively within teams while providing guidance and constructive feedback to colleagues.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications as well as experience handling ERP systems ensures seamless execution of daily tasks.
• Ability to work dependably both independently and collaboratively within ambiguous environments demonstrates your adaptability.
• Experience supporting mergers & acquisitions (M&A), developing treasury policies or strategies adds significant value.
