Senior HR Advisor

Save job

We are currently partnered with an international law firm in Dubai who are looking to hire a Senior HR Advisor. This role covers the GCC and Asia, supporting business strategy, providing HR advice across the full employee lifecycle, and ensuring compliance with local employment legislation across multiple jurisdictions. You will work closely with leadership, fee-earners, business services teams, and office managers in each location, while partnering with global HR colleagues to deliver their people agenda.

Responsibilities

  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders across offices, acting as a trusted advisor on all people matters.
  • Provide day-to-day HR guidance on a broad range of issues including employee relations, performance, benefits, onboarding, offboarding, and policy interpretation.
  • Support recruitment activity in partnership with the internal resourcing team, offering local market insights and guidance on relocation or onboarding matters as needed.
  • Ensure new joiners are seamlessly onboarded and leavers are properly offboarded, including conducting exit interviews and tracking feedback themes.
  • Manage all parental leave processes, flexible work applications, and return-to-work plans in line with local employment laws and internal policies.
  • Monitor and interpret employment legislation across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring continuous policy alignment and compliance.
  • Review and update internal HR procedures and documentation in line with changing regulatory requirements.
  • Analyse regional results from global engagement or inclusion surveys and support leadership in developing local action plans.
  • Support line managers with regular check-in and performance conversations, identifying development needs and working with the wider HR team to address gaps.
  • Assist with internal promotion processes and regional salary reviews in coordination with the HR leadership team.
  • Collaborate with Office Managers and the wider HR function (globally) to ensure seamless HR service delivery across the region.
  • Handle ad hoc projects to support the growth and operational excellence of the business, contributing to wider people strategy.

Requirements

  • 6 years of progressive HR experience, including generalist or advisory roles with a focus on day-to-day employee support, compliance, and operations.
  • Demonstrated HR experience across the GCC, with solid knowledge of local employment laws.
  • Strong understanding of regional HR compliance requirements, including visa processes, contracts, benefits administration, and policy frameworks.
  • Proven ability to build trusted relationships with stakeholders across different geographies and cultures.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision, while managing competing deadlines across multiple time zones.
  • Comfortable handling employee relations issues, onboarding and offboarding, performance discussions, and cyclical HR processes (e.g. salary reviews, promotions).
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly articulate HR policies and advise on best practices.
  • Confident with HR systems and strong Excel skills (e.g. for salary review tracking, data analysis, etc.)
  • Degree-qualified; CIPD or equivalent certification is preferred but not essential.
