IT Identity & Access Administration Specialist

A leading global professional services organisation is seeking an experienced IT Identity & Access Administration Specialist to join its technology team in Riyadh. This is an excellent opportunity for an IT professional with strong Active Directory, Microsoft Entra (Azure), Office 365 and user account administration experience to join a highly professional, international environment.

You will be responsible for the end-to-end administration of user accounts, access rights, distribution groups, shared mailboxes, cloud platforms and third-party applications, ensuring that users have the appropriate access while maintaining strong security and compliance standards.

The role will suit someone who is highly organised, detail-oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment where confidentiality and accuracy are critical.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create, maintain, modify and deactivate user accounts across Active Directory and other enterprise systems.
  • Manage user accounts and access within Microsoft Entra ID (Azure).
  • Administer accounts across third-party platforms including cloud storage, collaboration, communication and identity management solutions.
  • Create and maintain firm-wide distribution lists and cloud-based groups.
  • Manage shared mailboxes, cloud storage accounts and Microsoft 365 licensing.
  • Log, track and update requests through an IT service management/ticketing platform.
  • Ensure user access is provisioned, amended and removed in line with established policies and procedures.
  • Work with relevant stakeholders to obtain approvals for restricted or sensitive system access.
  • Maintain accurate records relating to user access and periodic access recertification.
  • Provide Tier 1 support and assist the wider IT support function when required.
  • Provide on-call support as part of a team rotation and work additional hours when necessary.
  • Support the onboarding and training of new IT Helpdesk and Account Administration team members.
  • Provide advanced technical support to HR and other internal business functions.
  • Contribute to process improvements and technology projects as the Account Administration subject matter expert.
  • Maintain technical documentation, SOPs and quick reference guides.
  • Support the implementation of new policies, procedures and technology changes.
  • Assist with small IT projects and initiatives as required.

Candidate Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline is preferred.
  • 3–5 years' experience in Active Directory, identity administration or a closely related IT support role.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Active Directory and user/account administration.
  • Experience with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure) and Microsoft 365.
  • Good understanding of user provisioning, access management and account lifecycle processes.
  • Experience with IT service management/ticketing systems such as Ivanti or similar platforms.
  • Working knowledge of PowerShell.
  • Knowledge of SQL and database management.
  • Strong Microsoft Office and Windows-based software skills.
  • Experience working within a professional, corporate or enterprise IT environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical matters to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of confidentiality.
  • Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a team.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
  • A proactive, flexible and service-oriented approach.

The following certifications would be advantageous:

  • Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900)
  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA)
  • CompTIA A+
  • CompTIA Network+
  • CompTIA Security+
