Trading Technology Lead

Responsibilities

• Partner with traders, risk, operations, and technology teams to identify and deliver technology solutions that support business objectives.
• Drive automation and process improvement initiatives across the trading lifecycle.
• Build, run and own the in-house reporting and data platform (Microsoft Fabric, Spark, Delta, SQL, Power BI)
• Define and enhance the trading technology architecture, integrations, and data ecosystem.
• Implement pricing, hedging and arbitrage logic, and validate models with the desk.
• Lead the implementation of analytics, reporting, and workflow management solutions.
• Manage relationships with technology vendors and third-party service providers.
• Translate business requirements into scalable technology solutions and roadmaps.
• Ensure data quality, governance, and accessibility across trading platforms and business functions.
• Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders on emerging technologies and best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in commodity trading, energy trading, or trading technology environments (must-have)
• Strong understanding of trading operations, risk management, market data, and trade lifecycle processes.
• Should have working knowledge of pricing (benchmarks, PRAs, differentials), hedigign with futures and swaps and arbitrage economics.
• Experience with trading platforms, ETRM/CTRM systems (e.g., Openlink Endur, Allegro, RightAngle, SAP), and related integrations.
• Must-have hands on SQL, Python & Spark skills.
• Experience with APIs and market data feeds.
• Hands-on knowledge of data, analytics, cloud, and automation technologies (e.g., Fabric, Azure, Power Platform, Power BI).
• Proven ability to bridge business and technical stakeholders and communicate effectively at all levels.
• Experience leading technology transformation, process improvement, or digitalisation initiatives.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to operate in a fast-paced trading environment.
