Senior Legal Counsel - Energy Industry - Dubai

A fast-growing renewable energy and clean infrastructure business, with a portfolio of entities, is looking for a Senior Legal Counsel to join its legal team.

This is a hands-on, senior business-facing role acting as a right hand to the General Counsel, covering commercial contracts, corporate and governance matters, and ad hoc M&A and financing transactions. You'll operate with a high degree of autonomy as a key legal contact across the full lifecycle of projects and transactions, partnering closely with stakeholders across the business.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide legal, corporate and governance support across the company's generation, mobility and efficiency solutions
• Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements, including EPC, O&M, supply, services and partnership agreements
• Advise on corporate structuring, project development and transactions
• Manage diligence, document review and closing processes on M&A and financing transactions
• Identify and mitigate legal, regulatory and contractual risks
• Instruct and manage external counsel, and mentor junior members of the legal team

What you'll bring:

• 7+ years legal experience ideally some within the Middle East market although outside will also be considered
• Common Law qualified
• Training and/or PQE with a leading international law firm
• Strong commercial contracting and corporate law background
• Energy/infrastructure sector experience highly advantageous
• Comfortable operating autonomously within a lean, high-calibre team
