Procurement Manager - Indirect Procurement

A leading healthcare organisation in Abu Dhabi is looking to appoint a Procurement Manager to lead strategic sourcing and category management across key indirect procurement categories. This role will focus on Soft Facilities Management, corporate services and outsourced service contracts, driving commercial value, supplier performance and sustainable cost savings while partnering closely with internal stakeholders across the organisation.

Procurement Manager

Our client is seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to join its Procurement team in Abu Dhabi.

Reporting to the Director of Procurement, you will be responsible for leading the end-to-end procurement lifecycle across a portfolio of indirect procurement categories, with a strong emphasis on OPEX procurement, Corporate Services and Soft Facilities Management.

This is a hands-on procurement leadership role suited to someone who remains actively involved in strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, contract management, and stakeholder engagement while leading a small procurement team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end procurement activities across assigned indirect procurement categories.
• Develop and implement category strategies that deliver commercial value, operational efficiency, and sustainable cost savings.
• Lead competitive sourcing activities including RFIs, RFQs, RFPs and tender evaluations.
• Develop tender evaluation methodologies, supplier selection criteria, and commercial evaluation frameworks.
• Negotiate commercial agreements, service contracts, and long-term supplier partnerships.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships while monitoring supplier performance against agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Drive procurement governance by ensuring compliance with organizational procurement policies and procedures.
• Identify opportunities for procurement process improvements, supplier optimization, and procurement transformation initiatives.
• Conduct commercial and financial analysis to support procurement decisions and maximize value for money.
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to understand operational requirements and procurement priorities.
• Develop procurement plans and budgets aligned with business objectives.
• Monitor procurement performance, contract compliance, and supplier service delivery.
• Support risk management initiatives and ensure procurement activities align with organizational governance standards.
• Lead, coach, and develop a small procurement team while remaining actively involved in day-to-day procurement activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Approximately 6–8 years of progressive procurement experience.
• Minimum 2 years' experience operating as a Procurement Manager or equivalent procurement leadership role with responsibility for end-to-end category ownership.
• Strong experience in strategic sourcing, category management, and procurement planning.
• Demonstrated success negotiating commercial contracts and delivering measurable cost savings.
• Proven experience managing supplier relationships, procurement governance, and contract performance.
• Strong commercial mindset with the ability to balance cost, quality, service, and operational requirements.
• Experience managing RFIs, RFQs, RFPs and tender evaluation processes.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills.
• Previous experience leading or mentoring procurement teams while remaining hands-on in procurement execution.
