Procurement Specialist – UAE National

Robert Walters is partnering with a leading Abu Dhabi-based investment organisation to recruit a Procurement Specialist – UAE National.

This opportunity is designed for an ambitious UAE National procurement professional who is looking to develop their career within a sophisticated, high-performing procurement environment.

The successful candidate may come from a range of procurement categories or industries. The focus will be on identifying someone with strong fundamentals, good academic credentials, a proactive mindset and the ability to develop within a demanding and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support end-to-end procurement activities across assigned categories.
• Assist with sourcing activities, RFQs, RFPs and supplier evaluations.
• Support supplier selection, negotiation and onboarding processes.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to understand purchasing and procurement requirements.
• Support the preparation and management of purchase orders, contracts and procurement documentation.
• Liaise with suppliers regarding pricing, delivery, commercial terms and service requirements.
• Maintain accurate procurement and supplier records.
• Support vendor performance management and supplier relationship activities.
• Assist with spend analysis, benchmarking and cost optimisation initiatives.
• Ensure procurement activities follow internal policies, governance standards and approval processes.
• Work closely with senior procurement colleagues and develop broader exposure across different procurement categories.
• Support the team in a high-volume environment where priorities may change quickly.

Candidate Requirements:

• UAE National with an Abu Dhabi Family Book.
• Approximately 1–5 years of procurement, purchasing or sourcing experience.
• Candidates from any procurement category may be considered.
• Bachelor's degree from a recognised university.
• Strong academic performance / GPA will be viewed favourably.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commercially aware with good analytical ability.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
• Flexible, proactive and willing to take on responsibilities beyond a narrow job scope.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Genuine interest in developing a long-term career within Procurement.
