FP&A Manager – UAE National

A leading UAE-based industrial organisation is seeking an experienced FP&A Manager to join its Group Finance function. The successful candidate will oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, management reporting and performance analysis for an assigned business area.

This role will work closely with finance and operational stakeholders to provide accurate financial information, identify performance trends and support effective commercial and strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the preparation, consolidation and review of annual budgets and long-term financial plans.
• Lead quarterly forecasting across the profit and loss statement, balance sheet and cash flow.
• Monitor financial performance against budget and forecast, identifying key variances, risks and improvement opportunities.
• Review monthly management reports, including financial statements, working capital, controllable costs, savings initiatives and capital expenditure.
• Prepare clear financial analysis and commentary for senior management.
• Partner with FP&A, operational and functional teams to understand business performance and support financial decision-making.
• Oversee the consolidation and reporting of key financial and operational performance indicators.
• Review plant, department and business-unit budgets to ensure assumptions are accurate, realistic and aligned with organisational targets.
• Support cost-control initiatives and monitor expenditure against approved budgets.
• Oversee capital expenditure reporting and ensure spending remains within approved limits.
• Ensure fixed-asset depreciation, reconciliation and impairment assessments are completed accurately and in line with relevant accounting standards.
• Support the development and administration of financial planning and reporting systems, including BPC or equivalent platforms.
• Improve reporting tools, financial models, processes and controls to increase accuracy, efficiency and transparency.
• Ensure financial reporting activities comply with internal policies, regulatory requirements and international accounting standards.
• Coordinate with auditors, financial institutions, service providers and other relevant internal and external stakeholders.
• Supervise and develop team members through clear objectives, regular feedback, coaching and on-the-job training.
• Support physical verification of assets and inventory when required.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce or a related discipline.
• A professional finance qualification such as ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CPA, CMA or equivalent is highly desirable.
• Approximately 4–7 years of relevant experience in FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, management reporting or financial controlling.
• Previous experience within a large, complex organisation is required.
• Experience within manufacturing, industrial, metals, mining, energy, utilities, engineering or a related sector would be advantageous.
• Strong understanding of financial statements, management reporting, budgeting and variance analysis.
• Experience preparing forecasts across profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow.
• Exposure to capital expenditure, fixed assets and plant or operational finance is preferred.
• Experience supervising or mentoring junior finance team members.
• Strong stakeholder-management, communication and presentation skills.
• Advanced Excel and financial-modelling capabilities.
• Experience using SAP, BPC, Oracle, Hyperion, Power BI or similar financial systems would be beneficial.
• Ability to work effectively with multicultural and cross-functional teams.
