Head of Regulatory Compliance

A leading international bank in Dubai is looking for a Head of Regulatory Compliance to oversee regulatory matters across the region. In this role, you will provide guidance, offer constructive challenge, and deliver practical solutions to help the business stay on top of regulations while running efficiently. You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders, shape compliance frameworks, and lead a high-performing team.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage regulatory compliance across the region
• Advise business heads and act as a trusted partner, providing constructive challenge
• Implement and maintain compliance policies, frameworks, and controls
• Keep track of regulatory changes and assess their impact on the business
• Promote a strong risk and compliance culture
• Work closely with Risk, Legal, and Audit teams to align on key initiatives
• Oversee projects and initiatives within the compliance framework
• Provide clear and concise updates to senior management
• Build and develop a high-performing team, ensuring succession planning and leadership growth
• Maintain strong relationships with regulators and internal stakeholders

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree required
• Solid experience with Corporate and Investment Banking products and services
• Proven track record in Regulatory Compliance at a senior level within a global financial institution
• Familiarity with regional regulators and evolving regulations, and how they affect the business
• Strong leadership, communication, and influencing skills, with experience engaging at executive levels
• Ability to translate complex risk and compliance matters into practical business terms
• Experience developing practical, cost-effective solutions to complex challenges and implementing them
• Strong analytical skills, able to make sense of large volumes of data and provide actionable insights
• Experience leading change and working with global teams
