Senior Officer Operational Risk

We’re currently working with a growing bank in DIFC that’s looking to bring on a Senior Operational Risk Officer, reporting directly to the Head of Enterprise Risk. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who enjoys being close to the business and taking ownership of operational risk across a corporate banking portfolio.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Running the operational risk framework across the corporate side of the bank
• Leading and carrying out RCSAs end-to-end
• Performing risk assessments and working with the business on mitigating risks
• Working closely with different teams to strengthen controls and risk awareness
• Tracking risk events and making sure follow-ups and remediation are in place
• Supporting updates to policies and internal processes where needed
• Preparing regular risk updates for management

Key Requirements:

• Solid experience in operational risk within banking
• Strong, hands-on exposure to RCSA and risk assessments (this is key)
• Experience covering corporate banking
• UAE based candidates are preferred, though strong candidates elsewhere in the region may also be considered but relocation won't be covered
