Head of Audit Analytics
To manage the empowering and facilitating of audit operations within the organization through leveraging the power of data analytics and data modelling to drive quality improvement and workflow optimization.
People Management:
- Set priorities, objectives and supervise the activities of the direct reporting roles to ensure that all operational plans are carried out efficiently, in line with the annual organizational targets, policies and procedures.
- Provide on-the-job training, ongoing support and feedback, to all subordinate employees to ensure they are capable to deliver the effectively the assigned tasks.
- Identify the employees’ training and developmental needs in coordination with the HR team and bridge the knowledge gaps to ensure continuous progression and high-level of competence within the department.
- Oversee the successful implementation of the talent management related activities for the assigned team (e.g. PMS, trainings, etc.), providing relevant approvals as required (e.g. annual leaves, etc.).
Specialized Accountabilities:
- Manage the establishment of data analytics capability to support substantive audit testing and continuous and more effective auditing in medium term.
- Oversee and manage the data analytics platforms to ensure continuity of analytics operations.
- Liaise with internal audit and external parties on best practices and methodology on data analytics.
- Manage the analysis of integrated audit data analytics scripts to ensure quality of the scripts before implementing Continuous Controls Auditing (CCA).
- Supervise the building, deploying and maintaining of Continuous Controls Auditing (CCA) scripts on key high-risk audit controls.
- Ensure to support Divisions on strategic projects and initiatives for enhancing the governance and control environment.
Common Accountabilities:
- Coordinate operational excellence improvement initiatives and motivate employees to constantly identify areas for improvement on systems, processes and practices taking into account international leading practices, in order to continuously enhance the organizational effectiveness and business performance.
- Supervise the development and implementation of functional policies, systems, processes, procedures and controls in order to ensure that all activities within the unit are conducted in line with any relevant compliance, risk, audit, cybersecurity and regulatory requirements.
Job Requirements:
Qualifications / Education: Minimum: Bachelor’s in Audit, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Information Technology, or any other relevant discipline.
Years of Experience: 8 years of experience in a relevant field (or 6 years for postgraduates) with at least 4 years in a supervisory role.
Preferred Professional Certificates: Any relevant certification such as Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), IIA Internal Audit Practitioner, Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), or Certificate in Data Analytics, etc.
