A leading organisation within the financial services sector is seeking an experienced for leading and directing software development teams to build and scale the bank's digital platforms. Manages the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Responsible for leading and managing software development teams to build and scale the bank's digital platforms. Oversees the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), ensuring the delivery of high-quality, scalable software solutions that enable rapid innovation in digital banking.

Responsibilities

• Leads software development teams in designing and delivering cloud-native digital banking platforms.
• Manages the SDLC using Agile methodologies to ensure efficient and high-quality delivery.
• Provides direction on software architecture and design to achieve high performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Oversees the development of API-first architectures to enable seamless integration with fintech partners and external ecosystems.
• Implements DevSecOps practices to maintain data security, compliance, and service continuity.
• Leads technical code reviews and ensures adherence to engineering best practices and standards.
• Promotes a culture of continuous innovation through the adoption of modern frontend and backend technologies.
• Manages technical resources and allocates tasks effectively to meet project timelines and delivery objectives.
• Collaborates with product teams to translate business requirements into innovative and user-friendly technical solutions.
• Ensures software quality through comprehensive testing strategies, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in technology, software engineering, or digital platform development.
• Strong expertise in modern programming languages (e.g., Java, Go, or Node.js) and containerization technologies (Docker and Kubernetes).
• Proven experience leading cross-functional engineering teams and developing distributed systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders.
