Mining IT Business Partner (Saudi)

Our client is a leading mining company, seeking a Mining Business Partner to support the integration of technology, operational excellence, and exploration activities across the organization.

This role will serve as a strategic partner to exploration and geology teams, helping bridge the gap between business operations and technology functions to improve exploration processes, drive efficiencies, and support transformation initiatives.

The successful candidate will combine strong mining or geology domain knowledge with the ability to understand and facilitate technology-driven improvements within exploration and resource development operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with Exploration & Resource Development teams to identify operational improvement opportunities.

• Collaborate with geologists and technical stakeholders to enhance exploration and mining processes through technology and innovation.

• Support the planning and execution of transformation and digital initiatives across ERD operations.

• Translate operational and geological requirements into practical technology solutions.

• Act as a liaison between business stakeholders, geologists, and technology teams.

• Advise on industry best practices, process optimization, and operational improvements.

• Coordinate with third-party consultants, vendors, and internal teams to ensure successful project delivery.

• Drive stakeholder engagement and ensure alignment across cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geology, Earth Sciences, Mining Engineering, or related discipline.

• 8–10 years of relevant experience within mining, exploration, or resource development environments.

• Prior hands-on field experience within exploration or mining operations is highly preferred.

• Strong understanding of exploration and mining processes, including drilling, geological surveys, and resource development.

• Experience working on transformation, digital, or operational improvement initiatives.

• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

• Ability to bridge technical, operational, and business discussions effectively.

• Experience working with cross-functional and third-party teams is advantageous.
