Assistant Manager - IT (Business Applications) - UAE Nationals

A leading organisation in Dubai is looking for an Assistant Manager – IT (Business Applications) to join its IT team. This is a hands-on role focused on the development, implementation, support and continuous improvement of business applications and IT solutions across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage, maintain and continuously enhance business applications, IT solutions and websites.
• Design, develop, code, debug and test applications across various platforms.
• Perform system upgrades, performance tuning, optimisation and automation.
• Provide application support, maintenance and comprehensive technical documentation.
• Gather requirements and contribute to solution design and full lifecycle application development.
• Support IT projects and ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and requirements.
• Work closely with IT Security to identify and address vulnerabilities.
• Maintain and support related applications and databases, including backup and recovery procedures.
• Coordinate with vendors on delivery, support, contracts and maintenance.
• Support subsidiaries and remote offices when required.
• Train users and colleagues following new implementations or application upgrades.
• Assist with IT purchasing and maintain relevant departmental documentation.

Requirements:

• UAE National – mandatory.
• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 4 years' experience in a similar IT / Business Applications role.

• Basic understanding of IT Governance, ERP and Document Management Systems.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong customer service, planning and prioritisation capabilities.
• Ability to work independently while being a strong team player.
• High level of integrity, attention to detail and willingness to learn.

Desirable:

• ITIL, Azure Fundamentals, AWS Practitioner, DevOps Associate, Linux Essentials or similar technical certification.
• Experience working with vendors and supporting IT projects.
• Exposure to cybersecurity, compliance and enterprise IT environments.
