Lead Commercial Counsel – Energy & Industrial Projects
We are partnering with a leading energy and industrial organisation to appoint a senior legal professional to support a broad portfolio of operations, strategic projects, and commercial transactions.
This role will provide legal support across operational, corporate, commercial, and project matters, including advising on complex transactions, drafting and negotiating agreements, managing external counsel, and supporting business stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions.
The successful candidate will have significant experience gained within a top-tier international law firm and/or a large in-house legal function, ideally within the energy, oil & gas, infrastructure, or industrial sectors. Strong transactional and commercial experience is essential, alongside the ability to manage stakeholders at senior level and lead junior team members.
Key Requirements:
- Qualified lawyer with strong academic credentials
- Approximately 13+ years’ post-qualification experience
- Experience in complex commercial transactions and project work
- Background in energy, oil & gas, infrastructure, or related sectors
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience managing external counsel and mentoring junior lawyers
