HVAC (Maintenance) Engineer

Robert Walters is supporting one of the largest power / energy / utilities organisations in the Middle East, to hire an HVAC Engineer to be based in Al Ain.

The role will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, reliability, asset management and lifecycle planning of HVAC systems supporting critical power / energy infrastructure. It will also involve CAPEX projects, contractor management, budgeting and technical oversight of HVAC controls and associated assets.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate HVAC preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
• Monitor asset performance, conduct RCA and implement reliability improvements.
• Manage HVAC replacement and upgrade projects from concept through commissioning.
• Assess asset condition, criticality and lifecycle requirements.
• Prepare project scopes, specifications, BOQs, business cases and technical evaluations.
• Manage contractors, service agreements, budgets and project expenditure.
• Monitor and troubleshoot HVAC controls including DDC, PLC, and SCADA systems.
• Support outage planning, emergency maintenance and critical interventions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years’ HVAC experience within utilities, power, water, industrial or critical infrastructure environments.
• Strong exposure to HVAC maintenance, asset management, projects, contracts and budgeting.
• Experience with chillers, AHUs, package units, pumps, ventilation systems and HVAC controls.
• Familiarity with relevant standards
• UAE driving license required
