Inspection Engineer - Power / O&G / Industrial

Robert Walters is supporting one of the largest Power & Energy organizations in the Middle East to hire an Inspection Engineer, to be based in Abu Dhabi.

The role will provide inspection engineering expertise across the lifecycle of assets, with a strong focus on mechanical integrity, pipelines, static equipment, corrosion, inspection planning and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement inspection strategies for pipelines and static equipment.
  • Plan and execute on-stream and shutdown inspection activities.
  • Perform mechanical integrity analysis and develop asset risk profiles.
  • Investigate equipment failures and recommend repair/material solutions.
  • Advise on corrosion and erosion issues affecting asset reliability.
  • Develop inspection plans aligned with regulatory requirements and industry best practice.
  • Analyse inspection data and report on asset condition, maintenance requirements and compliance.
  • Support QA/QC activities across construction, maintenance and overhaul works.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Metallurgical Engineering
  • Minimum 8 years’ relevant experience in field inspection within Oil & Gas / Power / Energy or industrial / critical infrastructure operating environments.
  • API 510 / 653 / 570 certification.
  • NDT Level II in RT / UT / MT / PT is mandatory.
  • Welding / painting inspection certification is preferred.
  • Strong hands-on experience in inspection, mechanical integrity and asset reliability.
  • Must haev UAE driving license
